We are open 10am to 4 pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday; as well as every Wednesday late night shopping all the way to Christmas.

Come in and say hello!

Our charity shop is just part of what we do at 8 Cathedral Lane in Truro – we also have area for training, workshops and meetings; and one for counselling and therapy.

CLEAR, the Cornish charity that supports children and adults harmed by abuse and other emotional trauma, has gained national accreditation for the whole of its counselling and therapy services from the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (www.bacp.co.uk). CLEAR is the only BACP accredited all-age service in the whole of Cornwall and Devon.

Carolyn Webster, CLEAR CEO, said: “We are so proud of this achievement. Our Children and Young People therapy service has been accredited for over 8 years and we couldn’t be more pleased that our adult service has also been recognised in the same way. The work we do to support adults affected by sexual abuse and sexual violence and adults who self-harm provides a much-needed service across the county”

Sue Brown, CLEAR Chair of Trustees, said: “The Board of Trustees are delighted that all of CLEAR’s therapy and counselling work is now fully accredited by the BACP. It is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of everyone who is involved with the charity”

BACP accreditation is a reflection of CLEAR’s commitment to ensuring the quality of its counselling and psychotherapy services, raising standards and protecting the public. It is the result of BACP’s independent assessment that is kept under regular review to ensure that standards are maintained.

CLEAR succesfully opened thir new facilities at 8 Cathedral Lane in Truro on 7th October - check out some of the highlights here on Facebook

The exciting new use of 8 Cathedral Lane includes facilities for training and counselling, together with a charity shop selling preloved items and handcrafts and a space for community and creative workshops supporting positive mental health and wellbeing. The opening was featured on the morning news on Pirate FM and visitors included Truro's Town Crier and City Councillor and former mayor Steven Webb, with a great performance from the Maids of Melody who have promised to be back with songs for Christmas - the date will be confirmed on Facebook.. Everyone who visited was very positive and one customer summed the day up perfectly - good prices and a great vibe !

The Bystander Training provided by CLEAR as part of the Safer Streets project in Truro was featured in James Churchfield’s BBC Radio Cornwall programme on the morning of 27th September – catch the interviews with Lucy and Rachel from CLEAR here at 2:02:30

Start at 2:02:30 and listen until end of my interview at about 2.16.
