Mental Health First Aid

Training for individuals and for employees as part of an organisation to support themselves and others with their mental wellbeing. The aim of MHFA training is to extend the concept of first aid training to include mental health, so that learners are empowered to provide better initial support to people where mental health is in decline, poor mental health, living with a mental health condition, or in a mental health crisis. This is an evidence-based course and many evaluation studies have been conducted. It has been shown that MHFA training improves knowledge, reduces stigmatising attitudes, and increases first aid actions towards people with poor mental health.
