CLEAR, the Cornish charity that supports children and adults harmed by abuse and other emotional trauma, has gained national accreditation for the whole of its counselling and therapy services from the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists ( CLEAR is the only BACP accredited all-age service in the whole of Cornwall and Devon.

Carolyn Webster, CLEAR CEO, said: “We are so proud of this achievement. Our Children and Young People therapy service has been accredited for over 8 years and we couldn’t be more pleased that our adult service has also been recognised in the same way. The work we do to support adults affected by sexual abuse and sexual violence and adults who self-harm provides a much-needed service across the county”

Sue Brown, CLEAR Chair of Trustees, said: “The Board of Trustees are delighted that all of CLEAR’s therapy and counselling work is now fully accredited by the BACP. It is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of everyone who is involved with the charity”

BACP accreditation is a reflection of CLEAR’s commitment to ensuring the quality of its counselling and psychotherapy services, raising standards and protecting the public. It is the result of BACP’s independent assessment that is kept under regular review to ensure that standards are maintained.
