How you can help us make an even bigger difference

Your help is so important to the work that we do. Every donation we receive directly supports children, young people and adults to recover from the impacts of abuse, sexual violence and other forms of emotional trauma.

"You've helped me out of a really bad place and you've been brilliant with me"

Make a Donation  Today and help us to make a bigger difference for children and adults in Cornwall

Every working day we receive enquiries and referrals from people across Cornwall who need our help. Unfortunately, there are more people in need of our assistance than we have the resources to support. Please help us to help more people. Each donation, large or small, will make a difference.

  • £5 will support play and art therapy materials for 0-5 year olds

  • £10 will provide a therapy resources pack for a child or young person

  • £60 will provide a counselling session for an adult

  • £100 will enable CLEAR Ideas to meet to help us improve and develop our services

  • £200 covers the costs of our therapy rooms for a month

  • £500 will fund assessments for over 30 survivors of sexual violence or abuse

  • £1200 will ensure a child harmed by abuse gets the therapy they need

Make CLEAR Your Charity of the Year - If you are a business operating in Cornwall then why not support a Cornish charity to make an even bigger difference for the residents of our county. We would be pleased to work with your team to raise awareness of what we do and the impact it has. We can also support you to encourage and promote wellbeing at work through domestic abuse awareness sessions, safeguarding training and more.

Our Charity shop at 8 Cathedral Lane in Truro has a great range of pre-loved clothes and home ware together with locally made craft items – the sale of which all goes to support the work of the charity.  We are also very happy to take donations at the shop and if you would like to help by volunteering get in contact here  All volunteers get Bystander and Safeguarding training as part of their introduction to the charity.

“The best support that I’ve ever had . . . helping me open up and deal with so many issues”

Donate through Local giving. Local giving supportslocal charities by enhancing local fundraising with that from trusts and philanthropists.

Sponsor Our Work - For businesses, we recognise that the are many motivating factors for going into partnership with a charity. There are lots of ways to work with CLEAR, on a standalone or ongoing basis. If you don’t have a charity of the year, why not consider sponsoring one of our services, training courses or cause related marketing. Do talk to us about how we can work together.

Make a Regular Donation -  reguar donations, in particular by direct debit or standing order, help us plan our work supporting our clients throughout the year. Do contact us for our details - see below.

Help us to create happy endings and new beginnings - For children and young people, ending therapy marks a milestone in their lives. Sometimes life after therapy can seem a little daunting. By funding or providing a small celebration activity for the child, therapist and trusted carer, you would be helping that child to celebrate the progress they have made and to look forward with renewed confidence. Whether it’s tickets to a local attraction, a visit to the cinema or an ice-cream on the beach, your contribution will make a huge difference.

" I now feel like a new normal person after a very long time being locked away in myself - it is lovely to be free."

Donate a prize or gift - We are always grateful for donations of raffle or auction prizes to support our ongoing fundraising efforts, art and materials for therapy, office equipment etc. Every contribution helps.

Donate in memory - Make a donation in tribute to a much-loved friend or relative and support our work with children, young people and adults.

Leave a Gift in Your Will - If you are either creating your will or updating it consider making a gift to CLEAR to help people of all ages in the years to come.
