Why Work for CLEAR

CLEAR is the only BACP accredited all age counselling and psychotherapy service in Cornwall. We work to the BACP Ethical Framework and strive to be trauma-informed in all that we do.

We are committed to continuous improvement, informed by our clients, partners, funders and colleagues. We measure ourselves against a set of evidence-based, nationally recognised outcomes and qualitative feedback on our service delivery.

We are committed to training and continued professional development and have many opportunities for both formal and peer learning. We actively seek to support the wellbeing of employed and sessional-based colleagues and offer activities such as our Wellbeing Wednesday drop-in and Thursday lunchtime trauma-centred, trauma-sensitive yoga at our base in Truro and are planning online sessions of Tai Chi Movement for Wellbeing. We offer group clinical supervision for all therapists and counsellors and bespoke supervision for referrals and administrative staff.

In addition to our sessional rate we fund travel, group supervision, room hire where needed and access to a range of therapeutic resources. There are opportunities to get involved in our wider fundraising activities including our lovely charity shop in Cathedral Lane, Truro and to come together for Service Days, Wellness and Training.

We do our upmost to ensure we play our part in environmental sustainability and are a Real Living Wage, Disability Confident Employer.
