Prevention of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG)
CLEAR have developed a resource as an learning resource for individuals who have attended Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) awareness, prevention, safeguarding, community safety, workplace culture, equality, inclusion, or bystander intervention training across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The purpose of this resource is to:
- Increase understanding of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
- Explore the social, cultural and systemic factors that contribute to violence and abuse.
- Support positive conversations about gender equality, respect and inclusion.
- Develop confidence in recognising and responding appropriately to harmful behaviours.
- Encourage the creation of safer workplaces, communities and social environments.
- Promote trauma-informed approaches when engaging with individuals affected by abuse.
- Support personal wellbeing when working with sensitive or challenging issues.
- Provide access to further learning, resources, organisations and support services.
