CLEAR’s CPCAB Level 5 Post Qualifying Diploma in Working Therapeutically with Children & Young People is designed specifically for qualified counsellors who want to develop the skills, confidence and specialist knowledge required to work therapeutically with children from age 5 upwards.

As Cornwall’s only BACP accredited therapy and counselling service, CLEAR offers a uniquely safe, supportive and practice grounded learning environment where counsellors can deepen their expertise while working alongside experienced CYP practitioners.
Why This Diploma?
- Trauma Informed Learning Environment - Every aspect of the programme is shaped by CLEAR’s trauma informed ethos — safety, attunement, creativity and relational practice.
- Work with Children from Age 5+ - This is the only Level 5 Diploma in Cornwall that prepares counsellors to work therapeutically with younger children, including those affected by trauma, abuse and complex emotional needs.
- Guaranteed Clinical Placement with CLEAR - Develop your skills in real practice, supported by group supervision and experienced CYP therapists.
- Experiential, Creative and Theoretical Training - A balanced blend of hands on creative approaches, child development, attachment, neuroscience and safe clinical practice.
- Designed for Working Counsellors - Training takes place one weekend a month for 11 months (excluding August), making it accessible alongside professional practice.
