NCI Technologies, providers of IT support for businesses and schools, has recently fundraised £100 for the local Cornish charity CLEAR through the sale of preloved computer screens.

CLEAR offer care and support for people of all ages who have been impacted by abuse and other emotional trauma. They are currently raising funds through a crowdfunding campaign to introduce a Peer Support Programme into Cornish schools. It is hoped that this will help children and young people to build positive relationships and emotional resilience. CLEAR hopes to raise £1500 in funding by 16th June so the project can go ahead. NCI Technologies hopes that their donation is a step in the right direction to make such an important project a reality.

Carolyn Webster, CEO of CLEAR expressed her delight with the support received from NCI Technologies and the benefit their donation will bring:
“We are delighted that our IT partners, NCI, have supported our crowdfunding campaign so generously, we are edging ever-closer to our funding target with just 21 days left to campaign! Although very different, both NCI and CLEAR do really important work in Cornish schools, so it is fitting that this donation will help to set up Peer Support Programmes in schools, giving young people the skills, knowledge and back-up to help others who may be experiencing difficulties.”

James Scott, Sales Manager at NCI Technologies commented:
“The team at NCI are thrilled that we could provide a contribution towards such a valuable project from funds raised by giving computer equipment a second life. We look forward to hearing about the benefits of CLEAR’s Peer Support Programme once in action”

If you would like to support CLEAR’s Crowdfund campaign with Aviva Community Fund, donations can be made here. The page also details more on what CLEAR’s Peer Support Programme will cover if fundraising is successful. In return for your support there are a range of rewards on offer, including training for your business and well-being goody-bags.

As a thank you for their donation CLEAR will be running a ‘Wellbeing at Work’ webinar for the team at NCI Technologies which will cover caring for self and others in the workplace.
