We are proud to be launching our Beginning Together project - a weekly group for women during pregnancy and early motherhood. It is open to women between 18 and 28 weeks pregnant who have experienced an abusive relationship in the past.
The group will meet for 7 weeks prior to birth and then reconvene for a further 7 weeks where mum and baby attend together.

Carolyn Webster, Chief Executive of CLEAR, said:  “We are delighted to be kick-starting this important piece of work after it was delayed by lockdown. Although it is a small pilot project, the learning from it will help us to develop and strengthen the model so that it can be rolled out more widely.”

Beginning Together is fully funded by the Tampon Tax Community Fund through Cornwall Community Foundation. For more information, you can read pdf Beginning Together leaflet (1.62 MB) . Midwives can access the document referral form (158 KB) here.

Project Update: Because of the restrictions associated with the Covid-19 pandemic the start of this project has been delayed until early 2021.
